The GiO Carrier Portal
All RFP’s sent through the GiO Advisor portal will come through the normal sales channels to the Group insurance Carriers, as they do today. As a carrier you will therefore receive all the benefits of Advisors using the GiO Advisor portal with no integration required, the RFP’s will seamlessly flow into your sales process just like all the others.
However, for Carriers looking to more fully integrate the GiO system into their RFP quoting workflow and provide value added services we are creating the GiO Carrier portal.

Below are some of the features of the GiO system:
Complete RFP’s
The GiO Advisor portal intelligently creates a list of fields to be completed, based on the benefits and plan design selected. Before an RFP can be submitted to carriers it is first validated for completeness, to ensure that there is no missing information. This helps to reduce rework for all parties and requires less assumptions and/or back and forth to collect missing information.
Clean RFP’s
In addition to validating that all the required field are completed, the GiO Advisor portal also validates the data at a field level to ensure that the data makes sense in the context of that field. For example, if a certs date of birth is entered as $10,000 the field will flag with an error. It is not just the data type that is validated, there are also rules around expected parameters. For example if the certs date of birth is entered as 1/1/2014 that would also flag as an error. We can’t guarantee that there will be no errors, but we ensure the RFP is as clean as possible before it is submitted.
Consistent RFP’s
The main advantage of the GiO system is that it helps to standardize the RFP inputs for all Advisors that are using it. All RFP’s submitted by the GiO Advisor portal follow the same structure and only differ in regards to the plan design selected. This saves considerable time when reviewing multiple RFP submissions, as less time is spent hunting for information.
Integration Options
By leveraging the GiO Carrier portal there are opportunities to fully integrate the Advisor RFP into your existing quote process. The GiO Carrier portal has API’s that you can use to automate several steps, for example, automatically logging the opportunity in your CRM system, or pulling the plan design and cert data directly into your quoting system.
The GiO Carrier portal also allows you to respond directly to the Advisors RFP. This means your rates and proposal show up under the RFP in the GiO Advisor portal, streamlining the process for your Advisors. A notification is sent to the Advisor to let them know you have responded directly.
